What is your estimated price when you go into production?

We're working on production setup for this kit aircraft, it's will take about 6 month to get it ready, then we will know final price for the kit.
Estimated kit price will be around $90,000+ without engine and avionics. Included in the kit - landing gear, gearbox, fan assemblies, engine mount and cockpit glass.

This is off topic, but Malish should consider starting a second business so he is not under so much pressure with the PJ.

The boat market is MUCH more profitable than aircraft ever are, and there are lots of wealthy people willing to spend large amounts on boats to show off. Especially in Russia near the wealthy sea resorts.

If Malish applied the same ducted fan and composite technology to hydrofoil boats he could easily surpass even the most expensive boats except those well over 1000hp. I have no doubt in my mind. Even the slowest amphib aircraft can easily surpass expensive 50kt speedboats.

Malish could probably get a hydrofoil going over 100kts with his existing system, which is a level of speed only available on multi million dollar boats right now.

I bet there are several boat makers who would love to try out a ducted fan. It cant hurt to give it a try! Im sure they would be very impressed by Malish and the PJ.

Very interesting but I don’t think it’s as “sexy” as a ducted fan haha

Today our airplane for the first time flew with new retractable landing gear. Landing gear worked perfectly. The problem was, that Volgograd airport authority, didn't let us go close to runway to take photos and video's and we end up to be very far from active runway to have good shot of airplane flying. Maybe next time.

Malish, it would be worth it to invest in a video camera with big zoom like the Panasonic HC-WXF1. This has good stabilization and can take decent stills too. Good photos and video will help the marketing side a bunch. Congrats on this flight after all the hard work getting the retracts and paint done.

Marketing? Get it reliable, then fly it to Oshkosh. It wil take some planning. Fortunately, you have an access advantage to the far east of Russia.

PJ-II "Dreamer" is not design for cross country flights - it's sport aircraft for fun flying. Yes, it's have 1200 km ferry range, but it's have no room for luggage or survival kit.
Are you ever know what is there - on east side of Russia, past Ural mountains? Fly single engine land based aircraft there would be suicide mission! There no airfields or even living places for hundreds of miles around, only trees, lakes and bears. In case of emergency landing there(even pilot survives)big chance that no one even will find you.

So correct, Malish. Even my limited learning about Russia knows the vastness of Siberia. the American "Lower 48" has only 4 time zones. I believe Russia has 5!
A good idea is box it up and ship it to Oshkosh!

Follow Colin Hales route? ;) Skip Japan though... Bad things happen in Japan.

The 1090 satellite based adsb covers Canada's north - should cover Siberia too wouldn't it?

Power plant was working OK and landing gear too. Landing gear was retracted and then lowered on downwind leg at speed 200 km/hr.
