Patey bros are used to repair ACs.
Interstate has the shock inside the fuselage under the seat.
So does the Piper Colt, Pacer and Tri-Pacer.
...and Maule and Stinson...
+ silflex gear luscombe
I thought they just had bungees. The Interstate has a hydraulic shock absorber and a big coil spring.
Stinson has the hydraulic shocks under the seats. The gear and shocks form an "M" with the gear legs hinged half way where they go out the fuselage. It is a very clean and robust system.
Bungees around each shock absorber under the seat.
