I need some help on a sanity check. I am designing and building from scratch, and have decided on gullwing doors which are mostly windows, with a fiberglass frame. My bird is not pressurized, but my Va is pretty high (170 knots). While I have done analysis to check that they will carry the aero loads while maintaining engagement of the seals, I am still not sure that I have it all right.

In other structures, like skins and ribs and spars, I have performed a sanity check by looking at other designs, checking that I have similar amounts of fiber pointed in each of the major directions. I would like to do that here too.

Please post here a description of the layup schedules, cloth wieght and type, and section shapes of the doors you know about. The Velocity and Express come to mind, as do some metal airplanes. Whatever you have will help out a bunch!
