I see lots of "e-planes" with more than one motor/prop, even in ultralight and LSA. Would they require extra license and training to operate? Or would a standard LSA license work?

Also, what about twin engine aircraft, such as the Cri Cri? It`s not electric (originally), but has two gas motors. I have asked this in other forums, but have not had a real answer.

Is there such a thing as an ultralight or LSA license for multiple engines? As I understood it, these aircraft have a single engine and single, non-adjustable pitch prop.

I ask this because I am looking at a possible electric homebuilt experimental, and am looking at my numbers (weight, cost) to see if it looks worth trying. Having a second motor/prop is an appealing feature for safety.

Safe flying!
