Also rediscovered an old book from my formative years: I'll Take The High Road by Langewiesche. In the opening pages of this 1939 edition, the author discusses the bariers to GA and how he was challenged to overcome them. Namely, cost, time and fences around the airport. Sound familliar?
Toobuilder, thanks for posting this. As soon as I saw it, I hunted down and ordered a copy. It wasn't cheap--heck, it's nearly 80 years old!--but I knew if it was Langewiesche it would be good (not to mention your endorsement). It arrived today and I'm enjoying it immensely. Thank you.

I understand his market now and why it has taken so long... he's been waiting for Millenials to grow up and become old enough to have jobs and money to market his Skycar to!

Yup, he's actually spent the 80 million on cryogenics so he will be there ready to sell them.

A person can also learn and put the knowledge to action. I believe there's a difference. .
Well it's the defining difference in most (but not all) cases.
