I’ve submitted this question to my local EAA chapter with no answer yet. I’m planning on building a Rag Wing RW 19 or RW 20. The plans calls for Sitka Spruce. I have several trees at my home place that are Yellow Poplar which is an alternative to Sitka Spruce. I can fell, saw, and grade them. My questions are..
Will added strength increase the payload capacity?
Will it pass DAR inspection being an alternative?
Will choosing a Yamaha Apex or Nytro engine pass DAR inspection?
