Seems a bit pricey...

That's a really neat little airplane, I had no idea there were any of them out in the world near here.. Pricey yes, but very clever in terms of storage.

I thought so as well. The swing wing is clever.

That is a bit high for what it is, but at the same time the design is gone forever. Many have contacted Culver Props to buy the design and they wont sell it. Maybe they hove little documentation when the designer passed away. Yet it could be reverse engineered and improved upon to not be the same and reintroduced if the right person bought it.

Gussets instead of welds for the aluminum fuselage. Huge reduction in mfg. cost, shipping, and crating. Also improves the strength of the fuselage because you'd have a T6 fuselage instead of a T6 fuselage with a hundred annealed clusters.

they have all kinds of videos building them, pretty much lays it all out.
you would need to do a few calculations to verify safety

The opportunities are always very far from Texas.

I Love the "reason for sale" listed for the Kolb. I'm only 64 and hope I have a few years to go before I have to use that, tho I may list my Triumph bike using that reason. Too many darn fools on the road these days, safer in the air!

That Kolb would be awfully tempting if I wasn't addicted to biplanes at the moment... it's fast enough (think C-150 speeds) that you can actually go places compared to the ultralight-ish speeds of the rest of the Kolb line, but with the great Kolb handling.

Still a two stroke. There was a Kolbra for sale here last year. Rotax 912 @ 100 HP. \$21,000. The thing climbed like a rocket. Maybe I should have bought it.
