When I was a member of the Douglas Soaring club at California City in the 90s one of our members who was an amazing woodworker and also a very successful artist in wood sculptures built one that was a work of art. Its now in the National Soaring Museum and was donated after he passed away.

I asked Robin Reid for his opinion, it was $500 max. Do not know shape of wood or glue.
Where is Robin these days? I used to hang out with him and his mom Amelia, but I haven’t seen him in years.
There's one that's been off and on for sale here in Tullahoma.

No, but I can ask the owner. I think it's never been flown and is completely finished. When I last talked to him I think he wants it to go to someone that will appreciate and take care of it. Don't remember the price off the top of my head but it was very low.
