Your welcome. I would have gone and got everything but I'm in Canada and crossing the border right now is impossible. I'd like to see how it's built as well. Hope you get them, they are a bit rare I believe.

I got a set of Graham Lee plans from the official site last month, and they don't come in a binder. Could be these are pirated? The official plans aren't much more than this, and you're supporting the people who still support the design. There are pretty good tube and gusset resources on the web, and you can see Lee, and Airdrome aircraft construction videos all over you tube.

Varieze 85% complete with instruments - $3,500
After i found out, the guy wanted to fund a Powered Paraglider with the
money from this build ; i tried to talk him out of selling it. I told him, that
he would live a Lot longer in the cockpit of a Rutan design ; than he would
with a paraglider with an engine attached , (yes a do fly those devises) so
i would know the risk.

I reached out to him. I’m veri interested. I was looking for a 4seater canard project, but having something would get the ball rolling in the right direction.
Anyone off the forum near Boulder that would be willing to check it out? I live in Oregon

Near as I can figure it, the fatality rate for PPG is about the same as GA overall. Of course the risk of non fatal injury (broken ankle, etc.) is much higher.

That VariEze sounds like a great deal, if the build quality is good.

Don't know the statistics for PPG vs GA ; i do know that the fatality
rate for Hang gliders and Paragliders, is very close to the same, because
i've done both sports for over 30 years each, and watch the stats.

Trying to talk a beginner into what sort of aviation he should follow ; i'd
still consider the Rutan design, as a safer alternative, over Hang gliding
or Paragliding , (but that's just an opinion).

Gotta love this part of the sale pitch:
The 6 speed transmission is functional and clutch and shifter is within easy reach of the pilots seat. This ability to shift will make this plane the most efficient plane you will find. It takes off in first gear and gets airborne at 45mph, then when you get to cruising speed and altitude, shift up to the gear that works best for the conditions. Would you take a long trip in your car and drive in first gear all the way? NO! A plane should be no different. This is an experimental plane because it is out of the normal and able to use new creative ideas.

Thanks Bille,
The Boulder VariEZE fell through. The guy wouldn’t get back to me with photos. Although that’s a nice looking LongEZ I can’t swing the purchase a finished bird. I’m going to have to die from 1000 cuts instead of one big cut purchasing a finished aircraft.
I did purchase som Cozy plans this week. 😬
