Hello

I'm still wrapping my head around all of this, and I'm hoping everyone here can help me out.

I'm not even to the "what will I use it for" stage, altho I tend to think I'd like a canard. (because I can't be normal :D )

But where do I start?
If I get a kit, what do I get?
How much harder is plans built versus a kit?
Can I modify anything? everything?
What happens when I mess up a part? If its a kit, am I out of luck?
How much space do I need to build in?
What tools will I need?
If I want an origional plane, who can I take it to for analysis and how much would they want for that?

I guess that's enough questions for now. :)

Basically I'm looking for a hobby that really interests me. I took flying lessons when I was 14 but realized I was too young. I went to college for aerospace engineering, but came up empty handed upon hitting calc 3. Now I'm a sysadmin, flying computers all day long, which makes it less enjoyable as the hobby it used to be. I still occasionally build model airplanes or tinker with an N-scale train layout, but I'm looking for something more substantial.
