Edit: I finally started lubricating mine, and it helped quite a bit. Dan may know the proper maintenance procedure.

And those little springs in the door latch breaks a lot.

Try a Cardinal door. So flexible it never seals well. And the hinge pins wear. But the fixes are all well documented on the Cardinal Flyers Organization for informed owners.
