So lets say that you had the 1/4" x 1/4" spruce for your wing ribs was left sitting in your living room neatly stacked in the box from aircraft spruce. And lets say that your cat decided to try out as a litterbox because of his bladder infection.
So I immediately tossed the piece that were peed on. I figured that for the $1 each piece cost I'd rather just replace it than have to worry about issues with urine either rotting the wood, causing structural weakness or glue issues (and as it turns out I've still got enough extra that I don't have to place another order yet).
That all said, I doubt that I caught 100% of the pieces he got. I can't see any on what I kept, and I can't smell any, but his pee didn't smell strong (thank god) so I very well could have overlooked a bit. What issues might this cause? I'm sanding everything and then cleaning with acetone before I glue, so I don't think I'll have any problems. And thoughts on this?
