Hi All,
I am looking to build a tail for a new project using similar construction to Rutans moldless method
I have already cut out the tail from 2.5lb density polystyrene foam and have cut out the spar sections and now ready to layup the C section spar.
I plan to use carbon fiber double bias cloth with L285 resin.
I have seen others build the Long EZ and when it comes to the shear web, they lay up the fiberglass to the edge of the foam cut out and then using a card and a sharp knife, cut off the excess. Is it possible to do the same using carbon fiber or would there be some better methods around?
Input is greatly appreciated!
