Fabrication is my forte', more complicated engineering calculations, not so much. I am hoping that someone who can do this calculation, can help me. I intend to use the type of jig used below with some refinements.

I'm trying to bend up a spring landing gear. The piece to be bent is 1/2" 2024-T351, 6" wide. The bend axis is across the 6" dimension. The entire piece is 7 feet long.

The press "ram" has a 3" radius ( 6" O.D.), 3" is the minimum bend radius for this material. The bottom jig is tentatively 9" between centers (cross pieces are 3" pipe). I need to make approximately a 30 degree bend, in two places to form the basic gear shape. I have no concern about bending where the the axles mount as the width there is much smaller. I can easily change the bottom jig "between centers" number if it is needed to make the bend with the tonnage I have.

I'm not interested in using 2024-0 material and heat treating after. The material I'm using is a couple of hundred bucks and I don't need any paper weights. Any engineers that can help me out with this, it would be much appreciated.
