Hi All,

I'm planning on building a prop for my Sonerai II.

Please add comments to my plan below:

Get a prop design program, such a Bates Advanced.
Import the data from the program into a CAD program,
perferably Intellicad.

Take the CAD document along with a blank made from
clear pine or oak, consisting of 1/2 inch panels glued together
with alternating grain to a friendly neighborhood machine shop.

install hub and bolt holes unless that was done by the machine
shop.

balance it with needle bearings in the hub

Cover the carved wood with several layers of fiberglass.

rebalance it

install it.

***********
Anybody have experience with this process?

Thanks much!

Jack
