In order to try to keep the "just the facts" threads on the Briggs Vanguard 627cc to just the facts, I wanted to make a conversation thread for people to make their comments and throw their ideas out.

As I stated in the just the facts thread, I think the 627 won't produce the power I need as much of my flying will be happening at high density altitudes. I like the weight, price, and everything else about the 627 but I don't think a Kolb Firestar will fly well in the thin air. If I were living back in the Great Lakes area where I flew a 447 in a CGS Hawk I built, I'd probably try a 627. Not here in WY though.
