    further research yields case 1 of post 39 is correct (I think)....if calculated at 2 gussets at .125 x 4 wide, 7075-t6 plate from Spruce, I am good for the joint I am looking at. Wider if I need more FOS.

    Thanks Matt, figured it out.....would not be as far as I am without your help... Working with moments rather than axial, shear, and Fx and Fy was not something easy for me to find and understand. I just might be done with questions. And not to worry, it will be load tested to limit.

    recently a mistake was pointed out .....attached updated spread sheet....and I would be very very careful using anything from me.
