I always thought the G6 was a "boss" aircraft, thuggish look about it.Hi Svetlio-i, Thanks, I consider the Aeromomentum inclined or upright Suzuki-based motor an ideal motor for many replica types and yes the Czech replica is 75% I believe. In my opinion 80% is about the minimum to re-create a credible replica type when viewed at ground level. This works very well with biplanes as one then looks 'up' at them rather than down, as with a low wing monoplane fighter, which unfortunately conveys a toy-like impression. I very much look forward to seeing your progress on the Avia and also on the Bf 109G6, one of my absolute favourite fighter aircraft.
For interest I attach a picture of a 'Yak 9' which I converted from the prototype Taylor Monoplane in the 1970's and an impression of the Szarka Sz-1 projected Flitzer evolution as it might have appeared as a night-harassment machine in WW2. :0)
A lot of existing ww2 fighter replicas are made from wood . I would like to use aluminium for the Messerschmidt Bf109 G6 replica . Also I will use BMW M62B35 V8 engine , Only problem is Engine has to be inverted as original Messerschmidt Bf109.I always thought the G6 was a "boss" aircraft, thuggish look about it.
Àvia B135 was only prototype aircraft. From him was build only 5 or 6 prototypes , and also not many information for to build. I prefer The french Dewoitine D.520 . We had around 60 of them . But this will be after Bf-109.
I know about it but from this 12 only 5 or 6 was build . Rest of them was used as spare parts. Germans give to Bulgaria after occupation of Czech Republic . In 1944 During Training flight they came across raid of b-24 Mitchell bombers on way to Ploesti Refinery and shot down on Mitchell bomber . This is only operational history of Avia B135 as I know. As aircraft was very promising even better them Messerschmitt Bf109 if they have proper engine . Engines was very faulty and not very powerful. Engine was Hispano-Suiza V12 engine around 900 BHP.My understanding was that the B.35 existed only in prototype form (three total) but twelve production Czech-built B.135 fighters were in service with the Bulgarian Air Force as advanced trainers and occasionally saw combat. The D.520 is also a great choice, quite pretty.
The B135 was with retractable undercarriage .And elliptical wing was inspire by Spitfire . Fantasying wing . In spitfire was using NASA 2213 airfoil . I believe in Avia B35 and B135 is very similar Profile.Thanks, Svetlio, for your reply. Oh well, the fixed gear, elliptical wing B.35/2 was my favorite anyway, but it doesn't have Bulgarian connections.
Yes , Avia B-35/2 is a beauty . Building one going to take a lot of effort .Especially The Elliptical wing. Every profile is different . But what a beautyPersonally I just have a thing for the interwar, fixed-gear light racer-based or racer-like fighters. Don't even get me started on the Caudrons.
This, for everyone else since I know Svetlio knows it well, is the B.35/2.

Actually I was thinking for BS.122 before start building Avia B.534 ,but BS is not that iconic as B.534 . Is more recognize aircraft then BS.122 . From BS.122 We had only 12 aircraft. Friend of mine build DAR-1 replica couple of years ago. Beautiful aircraftI drafted a scaled B.35 around a Cirrus, even before the B.534, but it really needed a Walter LOM to do the design credit. BTW is was a B.24 Liberator that was shot down by a B.135 over Ploesti. I attach a nice fantasy colour scheme for a B.35 and a photograph of a Bulgarian Avia BS.122 which I did consider as a Flitzer evolution for a Rotec or Verner radial. The BH 22 was another project worth considering as well as the more prolific Ba 122.
