I recently purchased a Gull 2000 with zero records and I'm in the process of restoring it. Too late for any advice on how I should have gone about purchasing it or even if I should have purchased it.

I'm hoping to find some advice on some of the repairs/maintenance I'm doing. The engine has 68hour on it so for that I'm starting with all the required maintenance for the 50hr and will be inspecting the crank shaft. Anybody out there have a Gull or have experience with a Gull? I've been in contact with Mark, the designer. His responses are few and far between. Sounds like he is busy with things.

I'd be interested in picking somebodies brain who might have experience with this aircraft. Currently I'm working on replacing all the Lexan. Trying to find what thickness is best for the wind screen. I'm using .064 for the windows, which is what was on it when I got it. Not sure if what is on there for the windscreen is correct, but it appears to be roughly twice as thick as the windows. I'll be putting a mic on it sometime to get an accurate thickness. Before I go about purchasing the material, I'm interested in keeping the weight down, but want to have something adequate that will hold up to the pressure forces at cruise. Thanks in advance for any help!
