Hi!

I´m planning to build two composite floats for a small trimaran, something like the litlle external floats on the two first pictures below.
The float construction doesn´t seem to be a major obstacle, picture three seems easy.
What I don´t know for sure is if it would be posible to avoid a solution like picture four fitting, wich means drilling the composite to screw the fitting direcltly through the composite?
If the tube is bended like in picture one I may be abble to put a pin inside the tube to keep it fixed. This solution requires a hole in the float to be able to remove/put the pin to attach the tube but it avoids me to drill any hole on the composite.

Do you have any ideas or other possible options, maybe inspired on composite glider wings, to secure the floats to the arm?

Thanks!

Oriol
