This is the second in a series of fictional group builds.

Last time you heard from your dear great aunt she was sewing new fabric on the rudder of the airplane she brought over from the old-country. She was rambunctious in her youth, competing in a variety of sports, flying air shows, instructing, mysterious missions during an even more mysterious war, etc. She flew most weeks up until her 80th birthday.
Seems that the corona virus was too rough for your dear great aunt. She died last week, but bequeathed her hangar to you. You barely had a minute to stick your head in before the funeral.

You saw a freshly-varnished wooden propeller on a 7-cylinder radial engine. There was a box of new spark plugs and some new tires, brakes, etc. A new canopy peaked out of the box. She had almost finished recovering the entire air frame. C-ABCD registration was freshly painted.
Two seats lay on the floor beside the cockpit(s).
Many parts were recently overhauled. All the parts were there and ready to bolt on.
There is even a dusty pile of manuals. Too bad the manuals are written in a language you never studied.

You plan on going back next month for a more detailed inspection … or whenever they lift travel restrictions …..

Same rules as the previous fictional group build: each post only contains one paragraph, component or stage of rebuild.
You have to build on top of previous posts. IOW no contradicting previous posts.
Maintain a sense of humour.
