I have been kicking around some ideas for VW-powered two-seat designs. Looking to minimize both frontal area and CG travel with and without a passenger, I have considered the usual side-by-side and tandem arrangements but also staggered side-by-side and motorcycle-style tandem seating (like the Tipsy B and Buddy Baby Lakes, respectively, pictured below).

Does anyone have any other suggestions of interesting alternative seating arrangements that I might want to consider?

On a related note, what do folks think about small two-seaters WITHOUT dual controls? It is certainly possible to have dual controls with the motorcycle or staggered arrangements, but it would be a lot simpler without them.

Cheers,

Matthew
