In the interest of simplicity has anyone ever put a full tail on a gimbal? The application is a cruciform or similar tail at the end of a tail boom. If it was mass balanced in all directions and pivoted at the neutral point seems it would be ideal for simplicity of build and parts count. The complexity to drive it is no more complicated than bolting the tail to the mixer of a V tail setup. Cleaning it up aerodynamically is another subject. But seems there is no mechanical reason it cannot be done.
