Hi,

I am a private pilot flying in China. My friends and I are seeking a proper airplane suitable for flying at Tibet area. Prerequisites are: two seat, able to use autogas, folding or easily removable wings for transportation. The airplane must be able to take off and land within reasonable distance at rough field at altitude above 10000 feet. The engine I tentatively pick is Rotax 914 which can maintain full output up to 16000ft. So now I can have 100hp in hand at 10000ft, what does the airplane need to be?

The requirement for such airplane I can think of might be: very high power/weight ratio for take off and climb performance, high lift and high aspect ratio wings but with relatively small wing area for high wing loading to counter the windy turbulence, effective flap (slotted) for a slow landing speed.

Our short list for now includes: MCR-01, Kitfox,Zenith CH701, Xenos motorglider, Quicksilver GT500, etc.

Any input?

Thank you
