In another thread I got this question about acoustics:

Please do share anything regarding acoustics. The CAFE Foundation has lots of papers regarding acoustics but they are pretty abstract and it would be nice to see something describing how to deal with noise shown in pictures

I did search and find this CAFE Foundation page:
CAFE Technology Library

I have only got around to look at the content list, it look like there is a lot of interesting reading there. One thing I noticed is that some general papers on the measurement of environmental noise was included. A note, before I start to read are that at least here in Norway, environmental noise from roads, railways, airports and other "noisy" industry is seldom measured. When doing the area planning the noise is estimated with some model, and from the estimates the decision is taken if the "noise" level is ok or not.

I guess I start to read some of these papers when I have the opportunity, does other have read into this?
Are there any particular interesting papers or considerations in some of the papers?
