I watched this video yesterday. Seems impressive enough ... but seeing a bunch of them flying would help!

These kind of short ,big diameter electric machines can be a very good solution to torsional vibration problems.
One at each end of a 6 or 8 throw crank will tame it for very low mass.

I saw that. Looks promising.
I’ve never thought of converting a SxS motor.
I did some reading and it looks like many of the SxS vehicles use a Rotax V twin engine. (HD-8 and HD-10)
If you look at those engines they at least appear identical.
Would be great if Rotax would just make a version of this engine with their redrive for AC use.

So I wonder what the idea is here. Does the V Twin charge up a battery for running the 40KW BLDC motor? Or does the electricity for running the BLDC motor come directly from the V Twin itself?

Until the controller glitches out. Then you are likely to break the crank.
