Hi all,
As some of you will be aware I am currently building a CriCri MC-15. I intend to use model aircraft engines instead of the out of production and not so reliable JPX engines. I have quite a few ideas given to me already about what sort of modifications need to be done to increase reliability and safety. Things such as cooling ducts directing air through the cylinder fins, dual ignition and spark plugs, better prop bolts etc.
I will also need an alternator (or two as its a twin) and possibly starters.
The engines I am most interested in are here
ZDZ210RV-J engine with ignition. Rotary valve with rear carb version. (ZDZ210RV-JENGINE) - troybuiltmodels.com
These have a relatively good record in models but are not designed for man carrying aircraft.
Any comments or ideas for modifications would be appreciated.
Shannon.
