If you are looking to lighten your Rotax twin powered U/L down to a legal weight, you might consider running an MZ201 direct drive. It comes out about 20 pounds lighter than a 447 with B box and big prop.

It's more reliable, but heavier than the single cylinder, belt re'drive engines. You can read all about my direct drive experiments in the Two Stroke Engines area.
