Here in New England, the cold winter has given us some really thick lake ice. A bunch of us went to lunch today, landing on the ice of Lake Pocotopaug in Connecticut. I didn't fly in because the carb is off my plane at the moment, got a ride with some of the guys who drove in, but I flew back home in the Cub. This picture was taken from the window of the restaurant across the road.

From the left. a Scout, a Cub, a Jetranger in the air, a C-182, and a Kolb Firestar poking its blue wing into the right side of the picture.

Yes, even around here you can get away with this kind of thing... a good day.

Be wary of strong drink. It can make you shoot at tax collectors-- and miss.
