For my wing spar pass through, 7781 fabric will be used to make the hardpoints to support the bolt connections in shear. The fabric will be 45 degrees to the shear load.
Each side of 7781 fabric has the fibers running perpendicular to the opposite side.
My question is when doing the layup, should each layer have the fiber orientation contacting the next layer on the side that has the fiber running parallel or should the contacting faces be perpendicular? Or does it matter?
This will be a 3/8" thick layup.
