    Hi all,

I'm planning a part103 aircraft. I'm struggling to find 6061 t6 tube for wing ribs, but 6060 t6 is readily available. Is it possible to safely use 6060 as a replacement?

6060 t8a drawn tube has been used for years for Drifter battens (ribs). Drawn tube is much harder than extruded tube.

Yes 6060 t81, the battens are 1/2” x 1.42mm wt, this tubing is one of the telescopic sizes in the old imperial sizes which go from 1/2” to 1-1/8”.
