I have a couple questions on the VP-3 fuselage.
A swept tail and area ruling? That VP-3 must really haul.
I wonder if it has an increased VNE over the VP-1?
If you can take a *higher res photo I can fill in the question marks early next week (busy weekend ahead).
*I can't read it on my little laptop
I'll work on it.
Is this better?
It's either my laptop or this new fangled forum software but it's still really pixelated. I'll just start measuring stuff and fill in anything I miss.
I am confident the EOS camera is fairly high resolution. I could E-mail a pic maybe?
It's definitely not your camera, it's probably a forum user setting somewhere. But to make life easy send it to fwagoner at zianet dot com (P.S. spambots can read "at" and "dot", it's just force of habbit)
Test: cellphone photo saved at 30%
yeah, it's the forum hacking away the resolution ;( ...the price of progress
Look what happened to our avatars...
Still my favorite place.
There was some discussion after the change about the high resolution pics slowing down the viewing for a lot of people using phones and slow internet. It was suggested that the software could be configured to automatically reduce the resolution to a more reasonable size for viewing.
Looks like that has happened? I have posted at least one gigabit sized photo since the swap.
I posted the test picture at 880 KB (not an unreasonable size) and the system reduced it to 60 KB. I think that's pushing the limit of useful graphics. ...but the work around was easy enough
The first one in #3341 was better. I can read it just fine.
I got a few measurements today but there's too much going on in the fuselage to piece meal the measurements. I'm going to have to take it down (it's up on a pile of stuff that makes it hard to get to) and draw up a set of fuselage plans.
Random pictures to illustrate the situation...
Thank you for sharing your unobtanium.
The offset relationship between the vertical and cross fuselage pieces is much clearer in photo number two.
I have a landing gear with cables that I will donate to the Volks Plane project if you will pay shipping. Ph. 864-449-5895 Email- firstname.lastname@example.org Eddie Clark in South Carolina.
