I've been making use of the EAA's expansive collection of videos related to 2-stroke maintenance & operation. And last weekend I watched...
"Is your Two-stroke engine about to fail?" (Bryan Carpenter, Rainbow Aviation),
"Inspect 2-stroke Engine for Carbon Deposits" (Bryan Carpenter, Rainbow Aviation), and then
"Borescope Demonstration" (Dick Koehler, EAA)
And all three of those videos got me to wondering:

And all three of those videos got me to wondering:
- How often do most owners inspect the combustion chambers for carbon build-up?
- How do most owners go about inspecting the combustion chambers for carbon build-up?
- How many owners use a borescope to inspect the combustion chambers for carbon build-up?
