Historical using of Albatross F2 is during Balkans wars in Siege of Adrianople (1912–1913) by Bulgarian Air force . Albatross was build in Germany in 1910 .Only 5 aircraft was build . Non of them survive .

Engine is from Renault Espace 2.2 l J7T . Photos I believe give you all information .

That is amazing! Just the flat plate drag (assuming circular 1/8 inch wire ) would be over 13ft^2 (1.3 m^2). Now some of this wire is inside the wing and some runs at various angles and along the fuselage. Still I estimate just wires contribute 9ft^2 (0.9 m^2) of flat plat drag.

At 60 mph the wires will will absorb about 13HP all by themselves. Double the speed to 120mph and just the wires absorb 104 HP. No wonder you need all the wing area to keep the speed down.
