Hey everyone, I just got my 1/2 VW Scott Cassler 45 hp and it's set up for rear mount. Has anyone else used this configuration and can you post photos of your motor mounts. Need to steal ideas. Thanks

This is the Mosler in my Fisher 404. I believe Casler's rear mount is the same as the Mosler.

Did you weld this up yourself? What steel tube and what welding process did you use? Thanks for sharing. I see the top cross brace. Cool

I love the Fisher line! I always wanted an FP 202 with a 1/2 VW. I built an LMA 87% Taylorcraft replica years ago and it looked a lot like the Super Koala 2-seater. It was 2 place side by side also. I’ll probably build my STOL RW 19/20 as a 20 (side by side) as I feel it’s easier to balance the plane for STOL operation.

This is a picture of the engine mount for the 1/2 VW that I built and was thinking of trying on the SSSC at first. Decided to go with the 4 cylinder, 1200 cc , 40 HP instead of the 35 HP 1/2 VW. Flew the first 32 hrs with the 40 HP VW and didn't want to run the engine that hard and then built the 1835 cc, 60 HP. Loved the power. DANS PICTURES8.jpg

Beautiful bird! I’ll zoom on the motor mount. Thanks.
