Low and Fast, safety and FAA rules video

Good webinar video from March 6 2019.
I learned about "open water" and " inland water" altitude rules. (depicted on the sectional chart)

Is driving a car low (under 50 AGL) and fast... safe?

I mean, under 50 AGL, so, so many things you can hit... or might not see... trees, people, signs, other cars, telephone poles... motorcyclists

And doing insane head on passes with oncoming cars both at 65mph, with only feet of separation between you.... over and over and over... eventually your luck is going to run out... how can this be safe... or legal?

Depends on the definition of low.
I almost hit an Aerial tram cable flying at 2000 feet agl. I didn't think I was low.
But I don't get traffic tickets so I must be a safe pilot.

The wing tank of a Lear Jet went under my right wing of my C-172 at 10,500' . Hope I wasn't to low.

If its not there, it cost nothing, weighs nothing, and is 100% reliable.

I would like to point out just about every airplane taking off AND landing is going low and fast

If it was illegal and unsafe, everyone but the STOL, VTOL, paramotor, helicopter, new fangled quadcopter rotocraft, ballonist, blimp, and zeppelin pilots would be grounded.

All my buying up of defunct pre-WW2 Zeppelin Airship Airline Companies stock certificates to wallpaper my walls with would finally pay off!

I told you these things were going to make a come back!

(In-flight) Ice cream is on me!

    Eat it before it melts!

I scream, you scream, we all scream, for ice cream...

Everything isn't quite banned yet. But it does require reading the regs over and over till your head hurts to see what is legal. Ultralights can fly low but not fast.
