Some years ago, after 9/11, we had a discussion (that I can't find now, despite repeated searches :mad2:) about the DHS/TSA cracking down on "through the fence" operations for those who trailer their airplane to the airport instead of storing it there.

What's the current status on that? We have a lot of discussions on trailerable aircraft, and that came out as a big "want" in my poll of inexpensive homebuilts. Did "through the fence" operations actually become difficult and, if they did, or have things gone back to being relatively easy to arrange with your local airport, depending on the particular personalities involved?

Anyone currently trailering your airplane? Would you relate your recent experience with such operations?
