The O-200 started right up with an EM-5 doing the fueling and dual CPI-2 running both sets of plugs. We did some noise testing and switched battery sources plus ran through all the functions. The engine never skipped a beat.

We logged the runs on the PC to look at later inside. Warm day for January here but not behind the prop...

    Hello Ross,

Have one of the older CPI ignitions, yet unmounted :-( given lack of building time. But I have a suggestion. Did you ever considered enabling a start code in the software? It would function like a key , to prevent someone taking a ride in our airplane when you´re not around. Of course it would have some smart coding to avoid the need to put in the code in an event of inflight CPI reset !!! Like enabling the code lock after 15 min of no revs detected.

We're pretty picky about putting in features like this that can have serious repurcussions in a scenario like you put forth here. Our philosophy is in minimize code as this makes it easier to debug and potentially more reliable. Something like this would take a fair amount of testing to validate and we're still in the middle of two big development projects so we wouldn't have the time for a while to look at. Maybe when we're through the other projects though. Thanks for the idea.
