    First flight for the GeeVee!

It really is hard to beat for both performance and economy, not to mention FUN!. Speedy has a HAPI 1835cc VW conversion, which should cruise at about 3.5-3.8 gallons of autogas per hour. That should get me 125 mph+ cruise if I have the right prop. Testing will tell...

    First flight for the GeeVee!

Thanks Tiger Tim!! Due to having over 125 hrs on my previous Sonerai IILT, I decided not to do any high-speed taxiing and no crow-hops either. It is light on the stick, you basically rest your forearm on your leg and fly with three fingers - not "twitchy" at all, but responsive is how I...

    First flight for the GeeVee!

I purchased and then refurbished "SPEEDY "after I was unable to get my original Sonerai IILT - N201DT - "Sonny" out of my head. I sold it in 2009, and wanted one ever since. Beautiful day, great flight, all went well. Man, it is good to strap on a Sonerai again!

Parts For Sale Electric motor 25KW (34hp) with propeller and other components.

Can this be set up for tractor configuration and used on something like a KR-1? Using a 54" prop, cruise 180 mph?

Options for legal UL with folding wings using the Hirth F23?

If you can get your hands on a set of Kimbrel "Banty" plans (wood and fabric) it definitely has folding wings, or check out Roger Mann designs, he has a couple of UL compliant designs. However, I'm not sure if they have folding wings like his 2-seater EAB design Stork replica.

    Control Surface Questions, (newbie owner)

When flying the Sonerai, you want to rest your forearm on your leg, and fly with your wrist - small movements go a long way. It is a completely "honest" airplane, and will do exactly what you tell it to do, with plenty of control authority in all 3 axes. Think "Sports Car" handling vs truck and...
