    Fairchild Ranger prop governor

Found a prop and an oil transfer unit on ebay, anyone know what an oil transfer unit is?? It said it was for a beech 35 btw.

    Fairchild Ranger prop governor

Any idea on a model or year of bonanza so I can start researching shaft diameter and splines? Electric is what I was starting to think.

    Fairchild Ranger prop governor

I have a prop off of a beech 58, it fits the shaft correctly and would work nicely. The problem is that it's a constant speed prop and I don't have a governor. There's a threaded house fitting in the reduction gear case. Possibly to apply oil pressure for a prop?? I'm kind of hung on this prop...

    Fairchild Ranger prop governor

I'm working on my P51 project and it's powered with a Fairchild ranger 440 in line six. I'm trying to figure out the prop situation, specifically a prop governor. Is there a spot on the engine to drive one? Were these engines ever outfitted with one? If not how does a guy pull off a scale...

    P-51 Replica Q&A

The V-12 Jurca Mustang that you have all seen on ebay and yes, Barnstormers is none other than mine, good ol halfscalemustang! The same wide eyed kid with a dream to fly a Mustang. The v-12'? guess where you've seen them before, you guessed it! Here! The exhaust and cooling scenarios have been...

    MJ-77 Jurca P-51 Mustang

The carbon fiber doesn't appear to be structural, its overlaying the actual structural parts. Looks pretty good though! The parts are really well cut, almost appear factory-like pieces.

    MJ-77 Jurca P-51 Mustang

I assume its the reinforced version, due to all the carbon fiber parts integrated within the airframe. Its not the steel tube version though, its wood.

    MJ-77 Jurca P-51 Mustang

I'm sure they are the same ones. Not too many of those things floating around! I'm rather anxious to get started on it considering the major portions of the project are done, ie; fuselage, wing, control surfaces, and now power plant. The nice thing about the ranger is that its complete with...

    MJ-77 Jurca P-51 Mustang

I appreciate the information! I went ahead and bought both the V-12's. The numbers all look promising, I think they are a little on the long side (63" tip to tip), but hey, that's why its called experimental! Anyone ever messed with a Ranger V770? In my opinion they are near perfect for a merlin...

    MJ-77 Jurca P-51 Mustang

Well guys I ditched the 50% P-51 and grew up to an 80%! I just brought home a partially built MJ-77 Mustang. From what I learned on the previous Mustang, I feel quite confident that this a quality airframe. Since I bought and sold the last Mustang I have since acquired a Quickie Tri-Q, 53' Piper...

    quickie q2 prop

Thank you for the leads! By the way, it is the LS1 Canard, was thinking along the lines of turbo charging?

    quickie q2 prop

I recently got ahold of a Quickie Tri-Q2 with a revmaster R2100 engine. Im new to building homebuilts and dont really know where to go to find parts. Specifically a prop. Is there such a thing as buying a pre-made wiring harness? I have several instruments, but none of them have pigtails off of...

    F-4 Phantom recovery?

I would be most interested in finding the engine. The pilot ejected and landed a couple miles away from the crash site uninjured. I just thought it would be totally awsome to excavate it and just see what all was left.

    F-4 Phantom recovery?

That's exactly what I was concerned with. I probably ought to leave well enough alone. The fact that its there is amazing in its self.

    F-4 Phantom recovery?

So here the story, when I was in eight grade a couple of my buddies told me that while deere hunting on their uncles property they found an airplane crash site. For whatever reason we could never get together to go check it out. Last week I was working away and for some reason I remembered that...

    Astec Jaguar V-12

Scratch the carb, found a fuel injection system that is both simple and highly tuneable. Bought a pair of ECU's for a redundant back-up. Still on the hunt for a two speed super charger and a gear reduction.

    Astec Jaguar V-12

Anybody know how tuneable the Bendix Stromberg Pressure Carburetor model PS5C is? It's looking very appealing for use on my v-12, being its a pressure carburetor.

    Astec Jaguar V-12

Update, just found out that the 10 liter conversion for the jag engines was never produced. A gentleman was experimenting with the idea, but never completed anything. He passed away last year, taking all his information with him.
