Parts For Sale Plans for a repair wing jig for a Cessna

If you want to team up and we can both build a set each. Any of the salvage yards will be a good place to get a good cores. I am close enough to you that two weeks off work should be plenty to build a set. This obviously requires a lot of prep-work to clean, alodine and prime. Let me know.

    Continental O200

The real problem here is that without logs we have take your word. Furthermore, a tear down and crank overhaul may become further expensive should the crank not pass. I am speaking from experience here; most flying O-200 cranks will not pass inspection criteria today. I bought a crank twice on a...

Buying bulk fiberglass cloth and epoxy ? Any tips on cheapest suppliers ?

I have been meaning to share this with the group but I keep forgetting. I use this company that ships from Michigan so the original poster could pick up directly. They ship to Texas no problem. I buy their Boeing spec'd Epoxy for structural work and their cheaper stuff for finishing/boy work...

    Which Tig Welder???

I bought the Vulcan 140 MIG from Harbor Freight last month and it is pretty decent so far. I have welded a trailer and some other items. It is okay but don't think you can turn it down for the light gauge aircraft stuff. I tried welding some small gauge 4130 and it kept blowing through even...

Midget Mustang Goodyear Pylon Racer $ 60,000.

We don't have anything to verify the "speed" other than seller's word. But I wish the seller well. Maybe one of the Reno types will come around and take it from him.

Midget Mustang Goodyear Pylon Racer $ 60,000.

A little doze of reality wouldn't hurt anyone. Obviously everyone knows this is probably why it hasn't sold but let's pretend.

Midget Mustang Goodyear Pylon Racer $ 60,000.

Ask yourself this question, why would anyone pay you that when they can buy an RV-4/8 with much more useful load and range.

Thoughts: Lycoming O-290G with O-435 jugs

I already have one of the cases I have bored for O-320 but the problem as I see it is that narrow deck cylinders are hard to find used compared to wide deck. I will probably use an O0320 505 crank with O-320 narrow deck cylinder and solid lifters.

Sounds like everything I need to know. I will be looking for cylinders then. Thanks

Thoughts: Lycoming O-290G with O-435 jugs

I think I will go with that idea. Did the engine make it to TBO?

Thoughts: Lycoming O-290G with O-435 jugs

Hi all, I have 2 O-290G's in my garage and always thought about using O-435 jugs on them. Before I go down this road, is there anything I should know about this contraption. I know the airboaters do this but is it safe for flight. Shouldn't a cylinder hold down pin be used? Also, what sought of...

This phenomenon is true for every other forum I frequent. Truth is that we don't think in silos and shouldn't expect these message forums to function as such.

    Is all 6061-T6 "Aircraft" quality?

Could one mill a chunk of cast material that way you can reuse the swarf.

    Is all 6061-T6 "Aircraft" quality?

I was going the billet route because I didn't think there was anyone out there that would do small runs. I think I will do billet to begin with and when I have the bugs and kinks worked out, will go the forged route. Thanks

    Is all 6061-T6 "Aircraft" quality?

I know but not everything out there is cast. Smaller production stuff isn't necessarily cast.
