    auto engine like 1KR toyota could give 50-60hp.a reduction drive would be required and proven.the turbo version gives 97hp.the engine is light and should be less than air cooled vw.

    that seems to be the case.one is the mountain green sailwings vintage glider.it has the Lazair type wing with the single I beam spar and drag strut.the other one is the later super floater with similiar fuselage but the wing is different being a regular Ladder type ultralight wing.

    with apology to the OP what you are suggesting is a Larry Hall/Klaus Hill super floater hang/sitz glider.Looks like the Lazair wing is a copy of the super floater.drawings for this glider can be found on the homebuilt Hang gliders group files on facebook.

    the sorrel Guppy is almost similiar.only alteration needing to be done is change tail profile and move top wing forward to produce simiiar gap.it even has the spring rod gear leg.

    kirby motor tutor is nice motor glider.flies with vw power.if only drawings were available it could be very economica.also KR1B motor glider can be a cheap motor glider.original flew with 1200cc vw engine.the klemm L20 is almost a motor glider.

    there was a gentleman in south africa who built a Falco and KR2.he used Araldite 2011.another one is Araldite 2015 which works upto 100 degree C.Its also gap filling.
