Thoughts on an all metal Jodel D9, Falconar F10 or Druine Turbulent Derivative? For Taller pilots!
The Turbulent is a wonderful aeroplane but quite limited in useful load and the cockpit is fairly small. That said if you can't fit in it (width-wise especially) you'll most likely be over-gross anyway. Wag Aero wing plans
The wings will be slightly different, I think the Vagabond and Clipper wings are pretty much the same, and maybe the Colt too (less sure about that) but the Pacer wings are different. The ailerons are shorter to make room for the flaps and the fixed section of trailing edge inboard of the flaps...- hangarrat101

Naming Your Mags
I know the Tiger Moth is set up with the front switch controlling the impulse mag. That's the starboard mag on a Gipsy Major. As for which is left and which is right, I'd go with whatever the engine manual says should be left or right.- hangarrat101

I haven't read each post exhaustively but I haven't seen Wilksch mentioned. 125hp and the factory quote 290lbs wet installed weight with a C/s prop. what ignition systems are people using for VW engines?
My flying club has 5x Turbulents on the fleet, all with Leburg systems. They used to have Lucas SR4 magnetos, but were changed a number of years ago due to reliability issues and difficulties starting. another Autoflight gearbox failure - this time after 34 hrs
Assuming it's not the same incident, but we had a Titan Mustang go down in the UK last week following engine failure. I believe that aircraft had a Suzuki engine. No idea behind the number of hours or the cause of the engine failure...- hangarrat101

Rotax 912is for $35,000???
Assuming the engines in Indonesia do exist one wonders where they're from. Over the last few years there have been dozens (literally) of Rotax engines stolen in the UK. People would break into the hangar and remove the engine from the front of the aircraft. I know one strip had 6 engines stolen...- hangarrat101

Why are Franklin the only sleeved cylinders?
Franklins are an engine that's always interested me. Hadn't ever heard of a 6a4-150 in a Cessna before but I've heard good things about the 6a-350 converstions, from those who know and understand them. I did come across this page the other day.
