    Just Aircraft 103 Solo?

It's a redesigned, repackaged Capella Javelin. They come up for sale once in a while, a local friend has one and it performs well.

    Just Aircraft 103 Solo?

The factory guy that replied to the price question on face book stated, 'about the cost of a Polaris side-by-side.' Whether that's the $15k or $46k Polaris buggy remains to be seen, but my guess would be the latter sum. I like it, but not that much. ;)

Bronze vs. sealed precision bearings for control surface hinges

Have you looked at Delrin/UHMW? There has been discussion on here about it. Chris Falconar was the first that I'd heard of using it for hinge material, some years ago, touting ease of machining and no lubricants required...ever. Having used it in industrial applications, I agree with his...

The -26 of Paul Issaly in Argentina. He's 6'1" and states that he fits, but not with any comfort and limits his flights to 1 hour or less, for that reason.

    Sport Pilots Association

When Paul handed over the SAA keys to Ed Fisher, membership was close to 1000, the first year. The first fly-in had a big turnout at Wynkoop airport (Ohio). The next year around 60 members renewed by about the 3rd quarter, the fly-in was still well attended. Email pleas, monthly e-newsletter...

Gust alleviation for light plane comfort

Having got a ride and some back seat stick time in a Dyke Delta on a gusty, turbulent day last November, really impressed me. 'Blasting' through turbulence in a 160mph cruise only a 'bump' was felt. No wallowing around, constant correction, getting pulled against the straps or noggin' banging...

    Fleas on Floats

Another Jacques Arnould ship, perhaps. Edit: After another look at Arnould's flea on floats, that appears to be the cowling and prop from the 293, probably engine, too.

Tailless, but with a small hat?

It's not fixed, it's cockpit adjustable trim like the early T-craft and the Fly Baby pictured, that's all it does. The first time I saw one I asked John Dyke himself - who is local to me - what it was about, 'it helps slow it down more for landings, but it's not a mandatory addition.'...

Tailless, but with a small hat?

That's not a stabilizer on the Stingray or Dyke Delta's, it's used only for trim and improves low speed handling for landing without the elevon deflection needed before. The prototype DD does not have it and John Dyke says it's not a required addition.

    60 Percent Bear Cat

Yvan Bougie's 'Hauscat,' I remember it was on a once popular magazine cover in the 70's. He also built a beauty of a Taylor Monoplane, before that. Last photo I saw it was disassembled and gathering dust in a hangar. I'll keep looking for the picture. Bougie Hauscat
