cost wise round is definately cheaper even with the cost of adding a stream line skin . I have made my own stream line tubing out of round tubing ,..using a hydraulic brake and 2 flat dies,.. this is on thinner round tubing,.. as a rule any metals less then 3/8" thick, that is formable you use...

    substitutine streamlined tubing with round

Check Shapiro supply for stream line tubing ,..it might be a little cheaper the ACS ,..and I'm thinking they sell it in 8 foot sections,.. The thing with stream line tubing you ussually have to go over the required size in round for the same strength rating,.round is stronger,..so the...

some kitfox builder's/ flyer's use an enclosed trailer,..rolling hangar so to speak ..folded dimensions are 7'10" model 4 and down and right at 8' model 5 and up ,. Welding 6061-T6 Question

when a welded joint is neccesary ( with any weldable material),..the best joint is as in the drawing ,..it spreads the load over a greater area in the weld,..and never leave a dimple at the end of a weld ,..especially in aluminum,..always back weld 1/2" to 3/4" a dimple left on an aluminum weld...

Plane hits building in Austin... more fodder for HS/TSA?

quote Bruce "Regarding guns, there is great truth in the saying that "Guns don't kill people; people kill people." If guns were made illegal, you would have two results: criminals without concern for the law would still find a way to get a gun, and those without guns would find another lethal...

    The pointless destruction goes on.

I'll have no worries selling my plane once I fly the wings off it :) metaphorically speaking of course,..the right price after her 40 hours is flown off and she will be sold in a heart beat,.. "IF" the right price was offered,. I could build 10 more just like her :)

Cool plane.Flying Saucer U.F.O. Experimental Aircraft

I think if you look close it has some what of a dihydral,..about possibly 4 to 5 degree's? and with the wing as wide as it is ,.2 axis might be all it needs,..in calm air ,..I would think since it's not rotating like a frisbee,..stability would be at risk in higher winds ,. on e bay in the write...
