A method to produce homebuilt aircraft by using existing components differently

I made this experiment to see if XFLR5 matched. Both wings have same wing area/chord/wingspan and same airfoil. C.G. is located around 30% of the line joining the two 1/4 wing chord lines. Wing loading in the fore wing is far higher than in the rear, otherwise it could be like locating the C.G...

    Very low aspect ratio planes?

At each wing tip there is a 0.6 Kg battery, a .24kg motor, plus controller, plus retractable gear and the fuselage weight itself. At high speeds is stable as a rock and highly manoeuvrable for its moving surfaces range (I like them agile) , but at low speeds there must be some fence effect also...

    Very low aspect ratio planes?

At high alpha, low speeds the problem resembles a canopy parachute without the hole in the middle, it rocks more than roll. This continues for some time due to inertia and the fact that adding power does not solve the problem until it reaches almost its cruise speed 70 mph , 87 mph is its level...

    Very low aspect ratio planes?

I didn't want to find out, motor controllers are both on the same throttle channel and all landings were made well before batteries depletion. I think It may fly since the tail volume is a 20% bigger that it really needs to stay on the safe side. I was wrong btw, this one cruises at 113 km/h or...

    Very low aspect ratio planes?

This is a 1m x 42 cm (39x16.5") USA 35 B airfoil glider launcher. Weights around 3.2 Kg ( 7lbs.) being 1.2 Kg batteries and a static thrust of 3.7kg. It's a experiment to see if counter rotating props could counteract wing tip vortices. Batteries are placed behind the firewalls. One interesting...
