are triple tandem wings the future ?

tandem triple wings are realy stagger wing - cannard- bi planes with a tail .. Tandem triple wings are realy stagger wing - cannard- bi planes with a tail ..... in hangliding we found that we cant go over 130 degree nose angle because divergents will set in and some hangliders of the past...

    Stall speed

i dont think your illusion is valid because aircraft that dont have a high speed range will not solve your take off speed problem ..every hanglider pilot knows the worst thing is not being able to penetrate and only speed range gives you that ..you have a lower speed stalling aircraft with a...

homemade inflatable aircraft on mars ?

homemade inflatable aircraft on mars ?..many back yard experimental builders are trying inflatable aircraft with the 'woopy' from switzerland so why wouldnt nasa get in on the act for mars and a robot pilot ..:emb:...homebuilders are often over looked in the invention department ..all too often...

    Stall speed

what good designers are looking for a high speed range between stall and top speed so if you double your stall speed you need 4 g's capability plus another 2 g's for safety margin = 6g's altogether ..but there is no light weight solution here to add strength means more weight so to have a...

    Crosswind landing ability

i do know the one you mean but i forget who builds it ..you can either let it caster or lock it so it stays straight ..but any way even a four wheel system has been tryed ..:para:

    Crosswind landing ability

steve witman tailwind and 'v' witt racing plane have a very low:cry: stability /rudder area to tail fin area but this is why i say speed comes into it as well .

    CG range vs gross weight?

cesnas have a bad spin problem ..when i did my licence in one i was told unafficialy that if i am a 1/2 an inch out of by ballance then it will not pull out of a spin 'period ' ..gulp ..:para:

    Crosswind landing ability

i find speed covers all aircraft in tail draggers meaning that there is a speed when you have control and you dont ..looking at the problem from a control point of veiw verses design .so if you taking off and you know it will swing then realy you shouldnt be in the pilot seat unless with an...

    Hotorizontal tail structure, foam?

it is possible to get delamination of foam if you stress it beyond its limits ..this happens to the rand kr .:tired:

    Another spar attachment question

the rand kr has an attatchent system which works fine and they have photos of a spar being bent to death to show how vital they are but ..because the aircraft is basicaly a wood stringer-stud method with ply sides and fibre glass wing surfaces over very fragile foam inserts it tends to over time...

are triple tandem wings the future ?

triple tandem wings get past the 130 degree nose/swivel or spar angle rule with high technology materials .when there is a difference between the spar stifness and the wing surface stifness then the 130 degree nose/swivel or spar angle rule applies .bert rutans very ez ..has a spar not to...

    Build Time per Pound

buut ..shaving off is may all you can do unless some on:emb:e is ahead in design so you can well afford to do so ..it would be nice just to come up with the right formulae first time but then the fun goes out of it ..half the fun is finding out later ..quite often propellors are shaved down even...

    Crosswind landing ability

you know the irony is that what ever you pin point it all down too ,contradiction runs rife with tail draggers .. we use to run up and down the paddock with the wings off and just the tail feathers untill we had mastered the art of ground looping ,,hu hum ..i should say not mastered the art of...
