    Found my answer. :) The G and H don't have ailerons, and as origionally delivered, had considerably more dutch roll and well as pitch up moments, making such things as in-flight refueling much more work on the pilot. The spoilers also caused a fair amount of buffet.

    I've made a single layer buildup (if you can call it that) of fiberglass bid and honestly, its quite flimsy. Its far to flexible to have any strength in compression, and it tears quite easially by hand. Except perhaps in tension, I'd rate it about as structural as cardboard from a cerial box...

    Would that still be true on something like the B-52, or would its lack of ailerons be more likely due to other design compromises? Obviously it isn't a nimble plane, but it'd also have to have enough authority to land safely.

    B-52, not G or H. (tall tail) I don't think its a 747 because the wing trailing edge is perpendicular where it meets the fuselage. B-52 keeps the same profile. It also appears to be a high mounted wing.

    No bulge on the topside, so it has to be a Navy based Phantom with its smaller wheels. F-4A, B, G (not AF wild weasel), or J. The J may have tailplane slats, but I don't have my refrence book. Only the S had main wing slats replacing the blown flaps. (In terms of Navy ac)

    I bought the Rutan training kit and made a simple 1 layer square piece just to try and I was suprised by a few things, and of course a few questions came to mind. The first suprise was how amber the hardener was (EZ Poxy). Are all of the epoxies like that, or are some clearer than others...
