    A pilot’s fateful, career-altering flight under Michigan’s Mackinac Bridge

My dad after many years of military flying and leadership, set in-place 2-absolute rules for my sister and I growing-up. 1. Never do something stupid on the spur of the moment. 2. IF we decided to do something stupid, then we could only risk our own limbs/lives and NEVER-EVER put another human...

Craig Cato's New Propellor Gave Us Insane Results! | Whisper Sling Prop Test

OH, yeah... ref my post #7... and I also get turned-off when someone declares something or someone or some situation, etc is Greatest Of All Times [G.O.A.T.]. There is virtually no thing or no one who is the undisputed Greatest Of All Time. History constantly validates the truisms regarding...

Craig Cato's New Propellor Gave Us Insane Results! | Whisper Sling Prop Test

I wonder what 'impact damage tolerance' is built into the leading edges, curved tips and faces... general FOD, sand/dust, gravel, rain, snow and Ice often take their toll on composite blades.

Craig Cato's New Propellor Gave Us Insane Results! | Whisper Sling Prop Test

Any time a video title includes the words 'this is insane' or 'this is genius' I instantly walk away from the video and presume over-loaded-trash-sales-talk. Especially in aviation. Especially in anything technical.

    Anti-ice for experimental.

In addition to alcohol [ethyl/methyl] slingers and sprays for props and windshields... I have have specified 'RainX' for use on USAF glass windows subject to freezing wash/deice/rain. RainX tends to shed liquid water... even super-chilled-water... to minimize ice build-up. Only problem is that...

"We just hit a Drone!" | Windshield Damaged on United B737 MAX at SFO

As I recall in the 1970s and 1980s in So Cal, the biggest problems with low altitude collisions [takeoff, landing, pattern] were birds, kites and party balloons.

"We just hit a Drone!" | Windshield Damaged on United B737 MAX at SFO

I live near an Air Force Base and work on the Base. The AFB fences have had the traditional 'MILITARY INSTALLATION DO NOT ENTER.. etc...' warnings posted about ~100-yds or so... in reflective official signage fastened to the reinforced wire fences. About 5-years ago... in between all of the...
