    HP to weight ratio

My spray plane when lightly loaded has 7.75lb per hp (and it's a rocket), heavily loaded is 13.4lb per hp (and it is anemic)

Ever notice anything unusual on the ground while flying?

I've been mooned once, flipped off once and gotten several fist pumps (all from bikers). Pretty sure I found a small pot farm farm on the edge of a field I was spraying (Sprayed it too haha hope the potheads liked the Lorsban). Still hoping to get flashed by a ample chested young woman someday.

This is nuts! 150k super cub

Perhaps to you, but Cub Crafters has sold enough 180k rebuilds and 215k brand new Top Cubs to stay in business.

This is nuts! 150k super cub

Doesn't seem too out of line to me, looks like a Cub Crafters airplane, when they rebuild/restore a Cub it is essentially brand new when completed (total time of course carries on but is irrelevant with this detailed of a restoration) Basically its a brand new airplane with 37 hrs on it.

    Commercial Ag Application in E-LSA

And how often would that be? Starting your own aerial spraying business will not be easy or cheap. You can go buy a well used ag plane for 70-80k and then go to the Feds and obtain a 137 certificate ( it isn't that hard). But trying to obtain insurance for your business with a fresh...

Is a roll illegal without a parachute?

There are structural differences between the standard 150 and the Aerobat, wings struts of the Aerobat are stronger, various gussets added here and there in the wing... I believe it is actually 19 lbs additional structure. Pretty sure the tale of the 150 and the Aerobat being identical...

Fuel Consumption and other Questions for IO-720-D1CD, GTSIO-520N and TIO-540-AE2A

Yes, the Brave (PA-36) is a bigger, heavier, faster Pawnee (PA-25) but I don't believe the two aircraft share any parts in common. The Trace conversion cost I've been told (second hand from one of our pilots who spoke with Trace about converting a Air Tractor 401) is $175,000 and I think that...

Fuel Consumption and other Questions for IO-720-D1CD, GTSIO-520N and TIO-540-AE2A

I fly a 400 Brave with an IO-720 A1B, takeoff fuel flow is 34 gph, working power (80%) leaned to 100 degrees ROP fuel flow is 25 gph, and slow ferry power (70%) and leaned to 50 degrees ROP will produce a fuel burn around 21gph. The -D1C or -D1CD fuel burn should be identical though takeoff...

    Galloping Ghost crash Reno 2011

I dont think the trim tab coming off was the start of the failure, IMO the actuating rod breaking / detaching starts the failure and the abrupt pitch upward as the nose down trim is lost. Several seconds later 60% of the trim tab departs the airplane but the failure had already occurred before...
